Dilio was founded in 2015 in the city of Taipei. We are fully engaged throughout the development and every process. We design, develop and manufacture our products with passion and affliction. We believe that every detail we focus on from scratch is ultimately the building blocks of the design as a whole. We observe and stay curious in all aspects constantly to gather creative and innovative ideas forward.
일상적인 것들의 영감을 담은 오브제와 디자인, 그것은 Dilio(딜리오)가 존중하고 추구하는 가치입니다. Dilio는 일상의 가치를 Fun & Fine이라는 고유의 정신(즐거움, 유머, 개성)을 통해 제품으로 표현합니다. Dilio Design은 2015년 타이베이에서 시작되었고, 콘크리트라는 소재를 주요한 매터리얼로 사용합니다. 콘크리트는 복잡한 형태를 구현할 수 있는 자유로움을 가진 소재로 물과 만나면 “살아나”는 동시에 틀(캐스트) 안에서 액체에서 고체로 단단하게 변모하는 정체성을 가집니다. 콘크리트는 미학적 가치와 표면의 빛과 그림자, 텍스처가 주는 다양한 질감을 통해 디자인의 형태와 기능에 집중할 수 있게 합니다.
Algorithmic design (알고리즘 디자인)
Dilio는 복잡한 매개 변수를 알고리즘 디자인에 기초해 프로그래밍 언어로 디자인을 산출합니다. 이것은 기하학적인 구조를 가장 효율적으로 표현할수 있는 방식입니다. 각각의 프로토타입을 샘플화하고 가장 이상적인 형태를 제품화합니다. 그 결과는 누구도 따라 할 수 없는 독창적인 디자인 제품으로 탄생합니다.
Handmade Manufacturing & Special Concrete
Dilio가 독자적으로 개발한 특수한 콘크리트는 향을 흡수한 후 건조 상태에서 우아하고 지속적으로 향을 발산할 수 있으며 향의 확산이 균일하고 향을 쉽게 교체할 수 있습니다. Dilio의 콘크리트는 숙련된 장인에 의해서 핸드메이드 방식으로 정성스럽게 하나씩 제조됩니다. 수작업의 결과는 느리지만 섬세하고 사람의 온기가 제품에 녹아있습니다. 딜리오는 가장 미래적인 방식으로 디자인을 하고 가장 원초적인 방식으로 제품을 제작합니다. 그것이 딜리오가 가지고 있는 특별한 점입니다.
Objects and designs that sets an impression in a daily routine is what we admire and thrive for. Dilio likes to imply fun, humor and essentially personality to enhance these daily experiences.
Dilio uses concrete as our main medium. It has the ability and freedom to be shaped into complex forms when it “comes alive” with water, at the same time, giving every cast its own identity through its passage from liquid to solid. The aesthetic and atmospheric qualities of concrete are also not just about shape-making. The feel of the material, the light and shadow of the surface, its diversity of textures which it offers can easily bring focus to a design’s form and function.
