“Little Lonely...” is our latest concrete diffuser design , and it was created with the aid of heightmap data and algorithm design. The setting of these landscapes are defined by the lonely character within. The story behind these scenarios should be open to ones imagination.
‘Little Lonely’는 Dilio의 가장 최신 버전의 디퓨저입니다. 지형맵의 데이터를 활용한 알고리즘 디자인 툴을 활용해 탄생한 형태로 단순한 제품을 넘어 이 작은 풍경이 가지는 이야기는 디퓨저 안에 놓여지는 캐릭터와 보는 이의 상상에 따라 달라집니다. 교체가 가능한 캐릭터들은 제품에 영혼을 불어넣으며 일시적으로 외출을 할 수 없는 당신을 작은 산 속으로 인도할 것입니다.
WenXiang is a concrete diffuser. The concept was derived from traditional mosquito repelling incense. Mosquito-repelling incense was initially created in sticks but later designed into thicker and spiral shapes for a longer burning time. Given their similarities, WenXiang was designed to enhance the diffusing aspect of conventional reeds by using bigger surface areas to expose and spread scents. While being absorbed into the concrete, it sustains and preserves the scents for an extended period of time.
Wenxiang은 전통적인 모기향의 형태에서 영감을 받았습니다. 모기향은 처음엔 막대 모양으로 만들어졌으나 연소 시간을 늘리기 위하여 더 두꺼워지고 나선형으로 형태가 발전되었습니다. 동일한 측면에서 Wenxiang 역시 긴 막대 모양의 리드를 가진 디퓨저보다 더 큰 표면적을 가짐으로써 향을 더 널리, 더 길게 퍼뜨립니다.
딜리오가 제작한 콘크리트는 고유의 수분 흡수성 때문에 향기 확산에 탁월한 매개체입니다. 향수를 뿌리거나 오일을 부으면 흡수하면서 향을 퍼뜨리고 사용된 양이 많을수록 향은 진해집니다. 좋아하는 브랜드의 향수나 디퓨저 오일을 사용해서 자신만의 취향을 표현할 수 있으며 제품이 훼손되지않는 한 계속해서 사용이 가능합니다.
TOGO is a concrete diffuser. It is specifically designed in complementary to an automobile that focuses on craft, beauty and function. The concrete is deliberately hand-casted covered by a precicion miled aluminum body with a leather ring that offers various aesthetic placements within the space, such as clipping in the air-conditioning vent of the car or hanging on the car rearview mirror pole. Drip or spray fragrance of your preference on the concrete as it’s porous nature absorbs and spread scent. The amount used reflects the concentration level you desire in your car. And the reusable concrete diffuser is friendly to the earth.
TOGO는 기능과 디자인을 모두 충족시키는 차량용 디퓨저입니다. 정교한 핸드캐스팅 작업으로 만들어진 콘크리트 디퓨저를 정밀하게 연마된 알루미늄 케이스에 담아 가죽으로 만든 링으로 감쌌습니다. 클립을 이용하여 에어컨 통풍구에 끼우거나 백미러에 걸어 다양한 활용이 가능합니다.
This ashtray is deliberately designed and crafted to hopefully remind or hinder people before using it. As a piece of sculptural art or decoration in and of itself, it could also serve other purposes according to personal preferences and imagination.
Lung Ashtray는 재떨이로서는 꽤 도발적인 형태를 가지고 있습니다. 폐의 형태를 닮은 디자인은 흡연자의 행동을 멈추게 하거나 흡연에 대해서 다시금 생각하도록 유도하기 위해 의도적으로 제작되었습니다. 혹은 대담한 애연가들은 이렇게 외치겠죠.
“됐어, 쓸데없는 말 하지 마. 어쨌든 나는 담배를 피울 거야!”
Dilio가 풍자적인 유머가 담긴 Lung Ashtray는 실제로 금연이 이루어졌을 때에도 장식적 효과가 남아 있으며, 트레이로도 활용이 가능합니다. 재떨이로 규정하지않고 개인의 취향과 상상력에 따라 다양하게 사용하시기 바랍니다.
The Dilio LAB Series sets the goal to explore the possibilities of Algorithmic design on hand-cast concrete. Concrete is the mediumof choice to translate these designs by means of digital fabrication to put emphasis on the craftsmanship.
Dilio의 LAB시리즈는 알고리즘 디자인을 콘크리트 핸드 캐스팅에 적용하여 그 가능성을 탐구하는 것을 목표로 합니다. 이 시리즈의 원제는 ‘Keep Social Distancing’으로 Voronoi diagram에서 기초한 디자인 방식과 현재의 코로나 상태에 대한 절묘한 은유가 담겨있습니다. Voronoi diagram은 자연에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 자연의 구조로서 마른 지표면, 세포의 모양, 잎맥 무늬등에서 이것을 찾을 수 있습니다.딜리오는 이러한 디지털 제작 과정을 통해 장인 정신을 더욱 돋보이게 하고 디자인의 재해석을 돕는 매개체로 콘크리트를 활용합니다.
